“I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18.8)
It is not uncommon for us to focus on our limitations rather than on God’s power. Statements like, “I can’t”, “this is too difficult”, “this is not for me,” … are part of many people’s daily speech. In fact, we should be very careful with these kinds of sentences because what we often say is what we come to believe. In this way we are underestimating the power of God to change people and circumstances.
Faith attracts God’s miracles. Faith is the fuel that activates God’s hand toward us to perform a miracle. We demonstrate faith when we believe that there is an all-powerful God who exists, who hears us and who is not only capable of doing great things, but also who wants and is pleased to do them.
People often ask, how can we please God? The answer is quite simple: By faith alone! It is by faith that we know that God exists; it is by faith that we can approach God; it is by faith that we can walk with God; it is by faith that we can relate personally to God as our best friend; it is by faith that we can pray to God as our
Heavenly Father; and it is by faith that we can live a life of grateful submission and obedience to God’s will.
In Romans 14.23, Paul declares, “Whatever does not proceed from faith is sin”. Thus, without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is an absolute necessity for all of God’s people. The good news is that as a divine gift, not a product of human ability, faith is graciously available to every genuine Christian (Ephesians 2:8).
Therefore, if you have been praying and asking God for a miracle, know that obstacles will arise to prevent you from achieving your victory. But persist in prayer without doubting in your heart, and the blessing will soon come up. Keep believing! It is your trust in God that will change your story. Your victory is closer than you can imagine!
Prayer: Dear Father, I don’t want to worry about tomorrow or be anxious about finding a perfect way out of all my problems. Give me a peaceful and quiet heart to trust in your promises. I know that even with all my failures, you remain faithful and just. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
