“I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly”.

(Luke 18:8)

We all have been patiently waiting, thanking God, praying for a particular thing, but we don’t see anything improving. It’s easy to get discouraged and accept that’s going to be this way for days, months or even years.

It may look like it’s going to take a long time for you to get well, to break the addiction, to meet the right person, to turn your child around, to bring your healing, to make your dream come true.

God has ordained certain moments in your life where he’s going do a quick work. It’s going to happen much faster than you thought.

Luke chapter 18, Jesus told a story about a judge that wasn’t fair. He didn’t have integrity. He didn’t care for people. This widow kept coming to him day after day, trying to get him to do something about a person that had done her wrong. The judge ignored her, didn’t pay any attention, but the widow wouldn’t quit coming. Finally, the judge said to the lady, “I’m going to give you what you are asking for not because I want to, but because you are wearing me out with your constant request.” And Jesus said to the disciples, “If this judge who is not far will make the right decision because the lady wouldn’t quit asking, do you think that God, who is fair, will keep putting off those that come to him?” Jesus went on to say, “I can assure you, God will grant them justice quickly.”

When you’re in a difficult time, things are not turning around, just keep thanking God that he’s working, thanking him that he’s fighting your battles. Not begging him but reminding him what he promised. Notice what God said, “I will give justice quickly.”

It may not have happened yet, but you need to know God is in a hurry to help you. The key is to keep thanking him, keep believing it’s going to happen, keep talking like it’s going to happen. Don’t get discouraged, but consistently thank God and you’re going to see God’s quick work in your favor. Stay encouraged. Declare you’re about to quickly conquer. Your time is coming!

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me stay encouraged and keep on believing your promises for my life. I know you are powerful and fair enough to make it all happen. Although everything looks the same, I’m sure I’m going to experience your quick work on my life, a sudden breakthrough.   In Jesus’ name, amen.
