“Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news
about Jesus.” (Acts 8:35 (NIV))

Philip was an evangelist, but not one of the most famous apostles. Still, God used him powerfully.

In Acts 8, God sends Philip to a desert road. There, he meets an Ethiopian official who was reading Scripture but did not understand it. Philip ran to him, explained the Word, and presented Jesus to him.

That man believed and was baptized. Tradition tells us that the gospel reached new lands because of that encounter.

Philip was willing to leave the crowds and follow God’s direction to a single person. He did not know how far that moment would reach.

God often works through availability, not popularity. When we are willing to go where He sends us, even to unexpected places, He multiplies the results.

Prayer: Father, make my heart sensitive to Your direction. Help me value one soul as much as a crowd. Use my availability to spread Your truth. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
